Identity and Access Management (IAM)

IAM Abridged Strategy

This describes the overall concept and strategy for Identity and Access Management (IAM), touching on the major aspects of IAM such as Directory Services and Governance.

State of Vermont Enterprise Architects developed this strategy in conjunction with the Vermont Health Connect (VHC) project; they based the Roadmap and Maturity Models shown in the document on VHC. Regardless of the application using Identity and Access Management, the supported capabilities remain constant.

Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)

SOA Abridged Strategy

This describes the overall concept and strategy for Service Oriented Architecture (SOA); it gives the reader an overview of Middleware, Security, Management, Database, Infrastructure and Development of a SOA environment while highlighting its capabilities for supporting business applications. As a strategic initiative, the State of Vermont is interested in SOA because it leverages business application services for enterprise wide use as shared services.

Describes a proposed model for the governing SOA within the State of Vermont, including roles and responsibilities, governance processes, and tools to manage these processes.

Master Data Management (MDM)

MDM Abridged Strategy

This document describes an overall concept and strategy for Master Data Management (MDM). An MDM strategy uses a single reference data point, considered as a “Single Point” or “authoritative record” of truth.
