From the Project Management perspective, Closing means that the heavy lifting is done and the project begins to wrap up; this is signified by gaining formal User Acceptance. Closing activities include: documenting Lessons Learned, completing a Customer Survey, finalizing and archiving project documentation, and transitioning to Maintence and Operations.

The Enterprise Architect oversees and assists in this transition. They continue to oversee and advise during Maintence and Operations, assessing changes to systems running within the architecture, and making recommendations based on their potential impact.
